‘Through my work, I engage with ideas of the analytical and the rational juxtaposed with my own body, which can be viewed as a trope for the non rational.
Having had a Christian upbringing, but understanding the world through the lense of progressive scientific interrogation, I seek spiritual solace in the realms of theories explaining physical phenomena. This is a reflection of the world at large, where the division of a secular, scientific understanding of reality contrasts with faith based views of many societies.
Through different media, I allow my body to interact directly with the structures I make, my body being mapped, shaped and perturbed by contact with the materials I use.’
