Warren graduated in 1994 from the Victorian College of the Arts (VCA), Melbourne University majoring in printmaking including etching, stone lithography, relief printmaking and art history. During his early stage as an artist Warren worked as a picture framer learning archival practice when handling and displaying artworks. He then went on to work at Magnani Papers as a fine art paper merchant specialising in high quality art papers.

Warren went on to work as Studio Operations Manager at Australian Print Workshop working with local and international artists to produce hand printed edition prints. In 2007 Warren completed his Graduate Diploma in Education at Melbourne University and began teaching in the art department at Western Port Secondary College in 2008. Warren has continued his own art practise having various solo and group exhibitions with highlights being Benalla Reginal Art Gallery, Fremantle Print prize, CPM National Print Awards and Silk Cut finalist.
