Sally Joubert’s work is predominately oil on canvas or board done with a palette knife. The paint is applied directly and thickly to create a fresh impressionistic style of the subject matter whether it be landscape or figurative.
Melbourne-born artist she has completed a Diploma in Graphic Design at Swinburne and worked as a designer in Melbourne and London before she embarked on a 4 month painting course in Florence . After travelling in Europe came back and began painting full-time and exhibiting annually since 1992 in Melbourne, Sydney , Adelaide and various Victorian coastal galleries including Cook Street Collective , Flinders.
Last year spent a month in an artist residency Vallauris, France.
