Karen completed a Science degree specializing in Biological sciences but did not follow this as a career. When completing her Advanced Diploma of Visual Art at Chisholm, Frankston the natural world became key to her artwork. This interest, initiated by her early education and informed by her local environment, is now investigated in her printmaking. Using natural subject matter (linocuts of found feathers in this series of prints) she experiments with the presentation of these images. The idea of groups of images and collections fascinate Karen and she uses print making, sometimes with other materials and media, to investigate a subject in many varied ways producing multiple images in both unique state prints as well as editions,”

Karen works from her studio at Firestation Print Studio in Armadale .
