Jillene Hone has qualified as both a fashion designer and more recently as a professional writer. She has published both poetry and short stories. Jillene now concentrates on painting and has sold many works through her entries in art shows around the Peninsula and also through Gallery 247 online. She takes her inspiration from her long association with Mornington Peninsula and also from her travels within Australia and overseas. Jillene experiments with a mixture of media from canvas, silk, acetate through experimental substrates such as wood and plastics. She prefers oils to other methods but also works with acrylics. Her art shows a wide variety of ideas and styles with a focus on seascapes, boats and modern abstract art. jhone@avongraphics.com.au
