Ann-Heather has been a practising artist for 30 years, living on the Peninsula for most of this time. Has exhibited in many galleries in Victoria and WA and in Australian and overseas collections. Basically an abstract artist but relying heavily on the landscape for motivation, she observes and reconstructs her paintings from that which is observed around her. This may be locally or on many camping trips to the outback. These particular paintings are based on an area along the beach from Flinders. It is not possible to set up an easel here but a sketch book and some water colour are sufficient. These notes, of which there are many, are then used in the studio for larger works using oil paint and canvas as a support.
