Alice White is a visual artist based in Vermont South, in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne. Alice is self taught, but comes from a long line of artists and is indebted to professional artist Hilmi Baskurt for the training she received from him at Box Hill Community Arts Centre. She is in love with the process of image making as a form of inquiry into the nature of truth and is currently fascinated by how oil painting can capture the essence of people and the natural landscape.
