Art Red Hill Background

Over 40 years ago, parents from Red Hill Consolidated School & members of the local Peninsula art community decided to hold a fundraising art show in the school hall. 2020 marked the 40th anniversary of Art Red Hill (ARH).

It has been regarded as the premier art show on the Peninsula, showcasing artists from both the local, thriving art community and around Australia. Historically it has been held over the first weekend in May, and over the decades thousands of people have enjoyed the event and purchased hundreds of artworks across many mediums – painting, photography, printmaking, incredible sculpture, stunning glass pieces and ceramics, wearable art in the form of jewellery and textiles – the talent has been endless.

It was with much sadness the live show was cancelled in 2020 but, moving with the times, ARH moved to a virtual version and it was a great success. 2021 posed further complications and once again over the summer of 2022, when planning would normally be underway, uncertainty loomed and it was decided that a virtual show would be a fool-proof solution for 2022.

We are incredibly excited to announce that in May 2023 ARH will be returning to a live, in-person event at Red Hill Consolidated School. We will be running the show as a hybrid event with artworks available to view and purchase online. We look forward to celebrating 40 years of Art Red Hill – just a year or two later than planned.

Art Red Hill 2023 will run from 6-7 May 2023. Opening night is 5 Mary 2023. Tickets available soon.
